Apprentice-cabinetmaker and cabinetmaker
Job description: The cabinetmaker has the required abilities to perform tasks such as plan and sketch reading, preparation and shaping of wood and other related materials, assembling furniture or other wood products.
Required skills: Ability to manufacture and repair furniture, wood trimmings and similar items ; Ability to read plans, specifications and drawnings of items to be manufactured; Aptitude in preparing plan specifications; Ability to operate wood making machines; Capacity to work with manual tools to cut, shape and assemble trimmings & elements; Ability to assemble accessories & partial parts in order to build a piece of furniture by using glue and clamps and reinforcing the joints with nails, screws, pins,etc.; Ability to sand wood surfaces; Capability in resolving problems and showing initiative; Capacity of planning and foreseeing work results hence preventing errors and problems; Capacity in taking real mesures to reduce costs and waste of time.	Qualities and aptitudes : Accurate & autonomous, ability to picture in 3 dimensions, creative & practical turn of mind, dexterity, capacity of adapting to changes, quality-oriented, good sense of observation.
